Video Production Styles We Use

Before we dive into the different productions types available, let’s quickly understand the three main types of styles we specialise in.

Interview Driven Productions

This is the style we are most known for: no scripts, no pre-prepared questions, just real emotion and thoughtful answers. Our goal is to conduct a series of interviews with all relevant parties and create a story, cutting between interviews to accomplish a production that captures the audience, akin to “Australian Story”

Green Screen + Animation

We capture a live-action presentation using a “Green Screen”. We then remove the unwanted background and overlay it with animation that supports/explains what the presenter is saying. This style can bring to life things that are impossible to film, keeping your viewer interested and intrigued.

Video / Animation + Voice-over

This style of production is a combination of many types of assets all woven together. We collect stills, footage, graphic elements, music, voice-overs, anything that is required to tell the needed message. There are no limits to what can be achieved, plus this style can quite often be the easiest to plan.

Video drives traffic to your website, and Google will rank your page higher if it has well-integrated video content that improves the user experience.

Corporate Video Productions – some examples

Below are some different examples of productions types, that will help you understand what is available and possible.

Play Antipodeans Abroad Production

Promotional Video

Antipodeans Abroad – Schools Expeditions

What makes a good promotional video? In short – quality. Quality filming, lighting, clear sound and a compelling story.

A good promotional video will give the viewer a real understanding of the product or service that is on offer; however, it can’t be boring! In this video, Footprint conducted a series of interviews with the business owner, staff, teachers and a school principal. By cutting the interviews into short sections paced by images and videos supplied by Antipodeans, we are taken on a journey with Australia’s largest provider of school expeditions to every corner of the planet.

Play SkillHire Production Part1

Testimonial Video

SkillHire for Hitachi Power Tools

We all know how important good reviews are to a company. They make people feel comfortable choosing a product or service if they know others have been happy with their choice. A testimonial video takes it to the next level. Now we are there, experiencing what those customers love about the product/service on offer.

In this video, we travelled to Western Australia to film with SkillHire for Hitachi Power Tools. SkillHire is one of W.A’s largest employer/trainer of apprentices, and they love power tools! Footprint conducted interviews with the CEO, trainers and apprentices. We added some cool “super slow motion” filming to the mix and here is the result. This is part 1 of 4, you can see the rest here.

Scene to Believe - puts you in the picture

Company Product Offer

Scene to Believe

We get it. Not many companies sell/offer just one thing. Companies quite often need a video that showcases a range of products that are at the heart of their business. By utilising a high-quality video on the company home page, you not only gain points with Google for video use, you will also engage your customer.

In this example, Scene to Believe, Australia’s largest supplier of event/Santa photography, engaged Footprint to build a series of videos explaining what they do. By using pictures from their archive plus filming general footage at a few events, we created this animation driven video. Add a professional voice-over, and this is the result.

HP Server Team offsite

Live Event Productions

HP Server Team – Offsite Vietnam

We understand that companies invest tremendous amounts to stage, plan and hold live events for employees or guests. Logistics and the very nature of “live” events mean things have to run smoothly. Footprint has been filming live events since our inception, shareholder meetings, staff team building, executive summits etc.

Footprint was engaged to film a three-day conference for HP in Vietnam. Now, nobody wants to watch a three-day video … nobody. So we created a mini-documentary by interviewing the main players, selecting all the best bits from the conference to create this video.

Rio Tinto training video

Training Videos & e-Learning

Rio Tinto – Rail Interface Introduction

We’ve all been there. You’ve started at a new company or about to work at a new site. You’ve got to do the induction training. The trouble is, it’s being delivered with PowerPoint by someone who has either done it a thousand times or is not skilled at delivery. You are not getting a consistent outcome and retention is questionable. Our solution; create a video or series of videos that cover all the bases, be it complex technical information, training on specific equipment or procedures, or welcoming to an organisation and conveying your corporate standards. We can even add online assessments that link back to your training standards matrix, making sure the message has gotten across. Footprint has done a stack of training videos for Rio Tinto; unfortunately, we can only show you this intro due to IP rights.

BYO Footage for editing

BYO Footage Productions

Peak Teams – Kayak down the Okavango

We don’t have to do the filming for you; in fact, sometimes it’s impossible for us to do it. We have delivered outstanding videos for documentaries of climbing Mount Everest, adventures through Africa and the southern mountains of New Zealand. Rest assured our director did not want to paddle a canoe, though crocodiles and hippos, down the Okavango Delta. The process is to bring us all your footage and brief us on requirements. Then you can either sit with us, in the edit suite, to create your masterpiece or leave it up to us to tell the story. We will add animations, special effects and colour grading as required.

Here is the trailer for the trip down the Okavango, stunning, dangerous and inspiring.
